INNER DIALOGUE MEDITATION or DISCURSIVE MEDITATION

STRUCTURE:

3 STEPS (each 5 minutes, total 15 minutes)

1.  INVOCATION (5 MINUTES) – ALOUD
Spoken in first person ("I")

2.  WAITING (5 MINUTES) – SILENCE

3.  RESPONSE (5 MINUTES) – ALOUD
Spoken in second person ("You")

End:  "Peace"


POSTURE:
(preferred)

Sitting in chair, with a straight back, either leaning against the chair back or as below.
Legs are uncrossed and hands are either in the lap or in prayer position at the level of the heart.
